When Susie’s career began more than 20 years ago, it was the pre-digital age when a precise understanding of the craft, sharp attention to detail and an ability to capture a moment without relying on post-production was essential.
Her expertise has evolved as she has embraced new technologies yet she still maintains the same levels of skill and discipline as she did in her early days.
Her astute understanding of the importance of visual storytelling in brand development leads to long-term and meaningful partnerships, and her diverse client list includes The Gleneagles Hotels, RBS, Natwest, Lululemon, Black & White Publishing, IHG, Diageo and Radisson Hotels.
She has provided the imagery for several best-selling cook books for The Hebridean Baker, Scotland's National Chef Gary Maclean and Great British Bake Off winner Peter Sawkins as well as interiors book, Pink House Living by Emily Murray. In addition to this she has contributed photography to several other books.
A dab hand with complex, multi-partner shoots, one of Susie’s biggest strengths is putting people at ease quickly to generate outstanding results.
Susie's images have been published in most of the major glossy magazines, including Condé Nast Traveller, Sunday Times Style, Elle Decoration, Stylist, House Beautiful, Marie Claire, Good Housekeeping, Sainsbury's Magazine, 25 Beautiful Homes and Ideal Home.
While fortunate to be based in the beautiful city of Edinburgh, Susie enjoys travelling globally. When working in the UK, she can be found anywhere from the Outer Hebrides to the South Coast of England and relishes working in the the middle of nowhere just as much as she does in the middle of a major city.
