Here are a few of my images from Colin Lipsey’s gorgeous home in the West End of Glasgow. Apart from being a lovely man who kept me well fed with toast and tea while I was at his home, Colin is an interior designer who runs Display Works and his new venture Room Works, http://www.roomworks.org. The images are featured in the current issue of i-on Glasgow Magazine http://issuu.com/ionglasgow/docs/i-on_glasgow_51_julaug14_issuu
Despite having had my new website up and running for a wee while I’ve not managed to find time to update my blog. There’s also the pressure of deciding what to put into my first post. It’s a wee bit like making marks on the first page of a new sketch book or on a new school jotter. I’ve decided to post some pictures from a project that I was honoured to be asked to take part in, earlier this year, with the University of Edinburgh. The University wanted to create a body of work celebrating their outstanding women. The images were exhibited on huge boards outdoors in the Old College Quad for International Women’s Day, and have since been displayed in various locations around Edinburgh. It was a really enjoyable project to take part in and I met some incredible women, all of whom were a joy to photograph. Pictured here are Michele Belot, Janet Carsten and Pam Smith.
